I have been illustrating for Guardian Sport on a monthly basis since May 2007, originally drawing for Russell Brand's articles and then Dara O Briain since August 2009. I have also really enjoyed a spell illustrating articles written by comedian David Mitchell in the football off season.

The deadlines for these illustrations are usually pretty tight, often only an hour or so from receiving the brief to handing in the finished artwork. I enjoy the challenge of producing something in a limited amount of time and feel it's a refreshing exercise to work under pressure as it creates more instinctive drawings.

Sport and especially football is a subject that excites me. I love the universal language that sport speaks and the way it unites people from different cultures, languages, classes and backgrounds.
