Hugh’s Three Hungry Boys

Over the past few years I have been creating illustrations for energyshare, that aims to change the way we source, use and generate energy.

I recently created drawings that were animated for energyshare bumpers that feature on Hugh’s Three Hungry Boys that will be on Channel 4 on Sunday’s at 7pm.

The project involved drawing scenic West Country-esque backgrounds and a 1980’s electric milk float called Daisy (with a top speed of 17mph), that the Three Hungry Boys have to charge with renewable electricity on their journey. You can see the trailer here.

Jelly London, Wall Mural

I have been working on a cityscape wall mural in the office of my illustration agent Jelly London. The painting is essentially a fantasy city that I made up but has loose references to London. Jelly towers is centre stage and a selection of London based advertising agencies also feature (in lovely shades pink emulsion). The mural was a joy to complete, and we had a launch party in the office when I had finished. There is a stop-motion film of me drawing it on my Vimeo page.

Ryan Air maps

Cannes Lions

The ‘Car free day’ campaign that I worked on for Greenpeace and Leo Burnett Hong Kong won some awards at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

The campaign won 3 awards:
1 gold press lion in newspaper and magazine/fundraising & appeals category,
1 silver press lion in newspaper and magazine/illustration category,
1 bronze outdoor lion in billboards & street furniture/fundraising & appeals category.

I met up with Brian Ma, the Art Director on the campaign, for lunch in Borough Market and took some snaps before the award (that looked like treasure pinched from a tomb in an Indiana Jones film) was taken back to Hong Kong.

We like Santander

My Lumberjack animation has been selected – along with other pieces of video, to be screened around Santander in Spain. It will appear on digital screens on Santander’s Bus Network from 16th June for two weeks. “We like Santander” is an event organized by Foconorte Foundation and sponsored by Creative Santander.
